The same steps on every job

AC Installation Close to Home

AC installation for homes and businesses in town follows the same four steps as every job we take on: a load calculation, a written quote, the install and a full test.

The size is settled before anything else, from a "Manual J" load calculation of the house itself, never from the label on the unit coming out. With the size settled, you choose the system type, the brand and the "SEER rating", the efficiency rating, knowing each option will fit the house.

AC installation at a Gautier home
  1. Load calculation

The house is measured room by room, windows and insulation included, so the new unit matches the cooling it truly needs.

  2. Written quote

The whole job is priced on paper before any work starts, and that price is what you pay.

  3. The install

The old equipment comes out, the indoor and outdoor units go in, and the "line set" and drain are run and sealed.

  4. Full test

The system runs a complete cycle and the thermostat is set and checked before we pack up and sweep up.

Local Homes and Their Cooling Needs

Many houses in town have stood for decades, so a new system goes in around ductwork and wiring that have been in place just as long.

That is why nothing about the last install is taken on faith. The ducts are checked for leaks and for "static pressure", the airflow pressure that tells us whether they can carry the new unit's air, and the electrical circuit is confirmed before a larger unit is wired in.

What the system lives with

Weather a System Faces Here

Coastal air here stays warm and wet for much of the year, so a new system has to pull humidity out of the house as well as heat.

It is the same heavy air you feel on a summer afternoon at George W. Martin City Park, and it sits against every outdoor unit in town.

  • Sized right, the unit runs long enough to dry the rooms. Oversized, it "short cycles" and leaves them cool but clammy.
  • The indoor "air handler" works in damp air, so the "condensate line" is pitched and clear to carry its water away from the unit.
  • Outside, the "condenser coil" sheds the heat. It gets open air on every side, and keeping it clean protects the compressor.

Beyond the new system

The rest of the job, all year

The same call covers the work around an install, the cooling side and the heating side alike.

  • AC Repair When the Heat Peaks

AC repair is the call when the unit runs warm, keeps turning on and off, or leaves water around the indoor unit in the hottest weeks. In an older house the honest question is whether the failed parts are worth fixing, and you get that answer before any work starts.

  • HVAC Services Through the Year

HVAC services cover both sides of the system, the cooling through summer and the heat when the weather turns. Of the occupied homes in town, 65.5% are lived in by their owners, and a homeowner who plans to stay gets the most from a system maintained on both sides.

  • Furnace Repair for the Cold Snaps

Furnace repair is for the furnace that will not light, blows cold or keeps shutting itself off. Cold snaps on this coast are short, so across the 8,284 homes in town a furnace can sit idle for months before a cold night asks it to work.

Install, repair or a check of both sides, the job runs on the same promises.

  • Free, no-obligation estimates
  • We show up when we say we will
  • No surprise charges after the quote

More Towns Nearby

The service area page lists every town we cover, and these neighbors have AC installation pages of their own: Ocean Springs and Long Beach.

A job just past that footprint is a question for the call, and we will tell you straight away whether we can take it.

Ahead of the heat, not behind it.

Call while the old unit still runs. We come out, run the load calculation and put the whole installation in writing before anything starts.

  • Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 6 pm
  • Same working day call back

Calls outside those hours go to voicemail and we return them the next working morning.
